Dangerous Drugs Act 1952
Caught with illegal drugs like meth, marijuana, ecstasy, or heroin? You can be jailed, fined, or both. Even being high without drugs on you is still a crime.

Road Transport Act 1987
Driving under the influence carries penalties: RM10,000-RM30,000 fine, up to 5 years jail, license suspension. If someone dies, punishment is even heavier.

Employment Act 1955
Being under the influence while working equals misconduct. Employers can suspend or terminate you without pay during suspension.

Industrial Relations Act 1967
Drug or alcohol abuse can result in fair dismissal. Even if it’s your first time, the company has the right to act.
